WEIR ON DRAVINJA RIVER NEAR SLAPE

Reconstruction of weir took place in year 1999. Old and damaged weir was replaced by new masive construction with wooden cover. Channel width at the weir location is 27 m. Weir height is 2 to 2.5 m, construction width is 3.5 m. One hundred year return period flow (Q100) at the location is 322 m3/s, Q1=102 m3/s. On the left bank is mill (stil working, water power is now used for producing electricity), on the right was blacksmith. Weir was first build in the year 1842.
